Special Days

Waukeela Holidays are spectacular dress-up affairs, and they always come when you’re least expecting them!

Each Waukeela session has at least two of these themed holidays, on which regular activities are replaced with decidedly zany ones. On the 4th of July, you may wake up to warnings that “The British are Coming!”. On Pirate Day you’ll hunt for gold doubloons which may have washed ashore on our beach at Crystal Lake. If the Director happens to have another birthday this summer, you could find yourself travelling back in time…to Medieval Europe, Ancient Egypt, or even to the prehistoric days of the dinosaurs! Fortunately at the end of each so-called “Special Day” everyone makes it back to Waukeela’s future…at least we haven’t lost anyone yet!!!
