Riflery

Riflery is a completely optional activity at Waukeela, which is available only to campers age 13 and above. Even so, it is probably our most popular land sport - appealing in large part because it is something our campers can do nowhere else!

Classes are restricted to 4 campers at a time, and the girls must learn and practice strictly enforced safety rules before being allowed to shoot at the paper targets. Along with Archery, many girls find this sport incredibly satisfying because it provides clear standards of achievement, immediate feedback, and requires not physical speed and dexterity but rather concentration, focus, and patience.
