Drama

Waukeela's drama program is designed to develop each child's ability to focus her energy while providing opportunities to step outside her own, normal self. Whether it be by passing an imaginary "energy ball" around in a circle or playing statue tag, campers learn and practice the dramatic arts in fun-filled classes which are never the same!

There is at least one major production - often a musical comedy, sometimes a drama, occasionally Shakespeare - which is performed for parents at the end of each session. Every camper is invited to participate; in recent years more than 70% have chosen to do so! Campers also have the opportunity to create their own skits and "shows" which are performed as evening entertainment for ever-enthusiastic audiences of their peers!
