The newest activity at Waukeela is "Textiles", in which girls learn to sew, knit, weave, macrame and otherwise use their imaginations to create wearable fabric art. Recently the biggest craze has been knitting: our counselors reported giving away 80 pairs of knitting needles last summer and have stocked their area with even more for the coming year.
